An Inspired Alumni Update
Since graduation, Melissa Del Prete of the Class of 2005 has been making a huge contribution to the art scene. Working as a fine artist, she opened the contemporary art galley @mtnspacegallery in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. This art space, which opened in February of 2021, employs a small team who help Melissa put on exhibitions and hold art events. She also maintains her own art studio and practice where she shows and sells her paintings.
In musing about her time at Knox, Melissa shared that “I always loved art class. Ms. Engle steered me to paint and Mrs. Colombraro helped me frame my vision through the understanding of composition and light. I miss the Knox dark room!”
